A formal planning application has been made to build 115 houses on Hilltop Field behind Wayside Green. Any development on this scale will:

• Ignore the wishes of the vast majority of villagers as expressed over the last 25 years in 3 village surveys and in our 2008 Parish Plan
• Seriously encroach upon the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
• Open the door to large scale developments on other sites, within and around the village, already being eyed up by developers.
• Completely change the rural character of our village and destroy two rural lanes
• Add 250-plus cars to the village, creating more traffic and danger on our already busy local roads.
